
This simple side dish was full of flavor. Added bonus, the contrast between the carrots and peas made it a beautiful dish, too. We’ll include this recipe frequently in our every day menu planning, and it is definitely being added to holiday meals!

Savory Carrots

Ingredients:
- 4 carrots
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 T butter
- 1/2 C green peas
- parsley to garnish
Instructions:
- Peel carrots and cut into straws.
- Add carrots to boiling water and cook for 10 minutes, or until tender. Drain carrots when done.
- Toss with carrots the salt, onion powder, and pepper. Meanwhile, melt the butter in the pot.
- Return carrots to the melted butter and mix well. Cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes to blend flavors. When done place carrots in a serving bowl, add the peas on top, and garnish with the parsley.
